Semrush AI Toolkit Alternatives: 6 Tools and Prices

Semrush's AI toolkit is its AI-visibility tracking, and as of September 2026 it is sold inside the main plans rather than as a separate purchase.

The entry plan at $139 a month reports on AI search and sentiment; tracking prompts daily starts on the $199 plan, with 50 prompts a day, rising to 100 on the $299 plan and 200 on the $549 plan. That is the number to compare against, because most of the tools below sell prompt tracking on its own.

Prices were read from each vendor's own pricing page on 24 September 2026 and are linked below.

Why people look for a Semrush's AI toolkit alternative

Price is the usual reason, and it is rarely the only one:

  • You want AI-answer tracking without buying a full SEO suite to get it.
  • Prompt allowances decide the price. Ask what a plan tracks per day, on which engines, and how often it refreshes, before comparing monthly figures.
  • Tracking tells you what models said; it does not tell you what to change. Those are two different purchases, and only one of them is a monitoring subscription.
  • Agencies need per-client workspaces and seats, which is where the cheaper trackers stop and the $250-and-up tools begin.

  6. 06

    Maveriko

Free for scores and the top fix, no account; $29/month for the full report

Answers the other half of the question: whether a given page can be fetched, read and quoted by AI engines, and what to change when it cannot.

Best for: Fixing the pages a tracker reports on. It measures eligibility to be quoted, not whether you were quoted this week.

Free option: Free scan, no sign-up

Which one to pick, by what you need

The right tool is the one that answers the question you actually have:

What you needWhat to use
Watch what AI answers say about your brandRankscale at the low end, Otterly.ai in the middle, Scrunch AI for client work.
You already pay for AhrefsBrand Radar's custom prompts, which come with the plan you are paying for.
Model coverage across several enginesKnowatoa, which checks your prompts against several models on one plan.
Know why a page is not being quotedMaveriko, which scores the page itself rather than the answer.
Enterprise reporting and a named contactProfound or Scrunch AI's Enterprise tier, both quoted on request.

What Maveriko does not measure

We are one entry on our own list, so here is our ceiling, stated plainly:

  • No traffic, keyword-volume or backlink data — that needs a paid clickstream database, and guessing it would be worse than omitting it.
  • No measurement of whether AI engines cite you today. Maveriko scores whether a page is built to be cited, which is a different (and controllable) thing.
  • Site crawls stop at 25 pages, so a large site is sampled rather than covered. A single-page scan stays unlimited and free.
  • No scheduled or recurring crawls — every scan and crawl is one you start yourself.

The full scoring methodology publishes every check, weight and threshold behind those scores.

Frequently asked questions

Does Semrush still sell the AI toolkit separately?+

Not on its pricing page as of 24 September 2026. AI-visibility features sit inside the main plans: the $139 entry plan reports on AI search and sentiment, and daily prompt tracking starts on the $199 plan with 50 prompts a day, rising to 100 and then 200 on the plans above it.

What is the cheapest way to track AI answers?+

Rankscale's entry plan starts at $20 a month and Otterly's Lite plan is $29 a month, both for a limited prompt allowance. Compare the allowance, not the headline: a plan that watches ten prompts weekly and one that watches a hundred daily are different products at similar prices.

Is Maveriko an alternative to a tracker?+

It is the complement, not the substitute, and the distinction is deliberate. Trackers sample what models said about you. Maveriko audits whether a page is eligible to be retrieved and quoted — crawler access, direct answers, structured data and entity evidence — and names the fix for each failing check. Nobody can tell you from outside whether an engine will cite you.

How current are these prices?+

Each one was read from the vendor's own pricing page on 24 September 2026 and links back to it. Prices in this category move quickly, so check the vendor's page before buying and treat this as a dated snapshot.
